Den lange Adelgade

018_18-2Vintage Weekly & Our World Tuesday: Den lange Adelgade (The long high street) is one of the oldest streets in Malmö. It has its origin in the middle ages and runs along the old beach line. The first streets in beach towns always ran along the beach. “Adel” is a common part of names of streets in Denmark and is equivalent to High Street, that is the main or most important street. Today Malmö belong to Sweden and the street is named Adelgatan. The picture is taken in 2004 with an APS-camera. As there are a lot of shadows on the street I also link to Shadow Shot Sunday.
