Helsingör Harbour

14Vintage Weekly: This picture is taken in Helsingör in 1999 or 2000. Helsingör is the danish name for Elsinore where the castle Kronborg is located. The film is scanned by the photoshop that developed the film.

For earlier postings for Vintage Weekly have a look at my other site: From My Horizon.

  1. I have never seen a lighthouse locaterd like this. Has it always been this way or did the encroachment of the sea necessitate moving it? I love the bright color, making it easy to sight.

      • Thank you! I think it is rather common here to have a small lighthouse at the entrance of the harbour. Where I live on the other side of the strait from Helsingör in Malmö there is a small white lighthouse at the entrance channel to the old ferry harbour. I also find the red a very good color to spot. I wish you a good week!
